What are the Compatible phones for loop?

See this page in Loopdocshttps://loopkit.github.io/loopdocs/build/step2/

Apple Loop compatible devices that are compatible with IOS 13 and/or 14 (older devices first).  These devices will run master and AB branch of Loop and will also run FreeAPS. Note that the Loop dev branch is being upgraded and will require iOS 13. WARNING – only experts should use dev now (Jan 2021). You will have to delete your app off your phone to return to master, AB or FreeAPS after build with dev.

A backup phone is recommended for loopers (it does not need to be activated).  My primarily phone is an iPhone X, but I also have an iPhone SE (2016) and an iPhone 7 updated with Loop, but without pump, CGM or any settings entered but otherwise ready to go in case of an emergency.

There are alternate markets to purchase used cell phones.  I have used https://swappa.com to look for good used phones.

I suggest that all looping phones have an internal battery with a Maximum Capacity above 85% (look in Settings/Battery/Battery Health/Maximum Capacity

Although the 12.4 devices are currently supported in some branches of Loop, they will be the first devices dropped from Loop in the future.

Again, please refer to the complete details in LoopDocs at the link in the beginning of this article.
