How do you know when your Loop will expire?

If you use the Browser Build method, you must rebuild at least every 90 days and then install the new build from TestFlight on your phone.

  • Up through Loop Version 3.2.x, you must look at the TestFlight app to see when your build will expire
  • When Loop Version 3.4 is released (or if you are running dev version 3.3), your app provides you a warning starting 21 days before expiration

If you use the Mac Build method:

  • With a paid Apple Developer’s account, the Loop app will need to be built at least once per year and your app provides you a warning starting 21 days before expiration
  • If you build Loop for free, you need to build once every 7 days

Other considerations:

  • Give yourself plenty of time (2 to 7 days) before the expiration date
    • For Mac Builders: the Mac OS, Xcode version, and iOS all need to be consistent and updates can take a long time
  • Do NOT delete a working Loop app off your phone, even if it expired
    • The new Loop app uses information saved on your phone so your pump and CGM and settings all keep working together
