Daylight Savings Time

Tis the season for most of us to change time zones even if we're not traveling. Daylight Savings Time ended on October 31 for most of Europe and ends on November 7 for the US.  If you are a FreeAPS user, please disable "Show required carbs on the app badge" found in Other FreeAPS settings before your time zone changes.  On the morning of your time zone change, all Loopers (including those using FreeAPS) should Change Time Zone within their Loop/FreeAPS app.  FreeAPS users who make a change to their ISF while their pump and iPhone's time zones are out of synch will have their FreeAPS app crash and rebuilding will not help.  If you get bit by the time zone bug, the antidote is in the link below.  For Loopers who are not using FreeAPS, clicking Change Time Zone is a best practice, but is not critical.

Loop Follow Beta Testing

If you're a Sugarmate user, you know that Sugarmate is no longer able to connect directly to Dexcom.  Many Sugarmate users are now accessing their blood glucose data by using Nightscout as their data source in Sugarmate.  For more details about what's happening with Sugarmate, click on the Sugarmate links below.   Loop Follow (developed by Jon Fawcett) is another option for parents and other caregivers to consider.  Using Loop Follow, you can connect directly to Dexcom without Nightscout.  To make it easier for people to build, Loop Follow is now available on Test Flight.  For more details, click on the Loop Follow Beta Testing link below.

LoopDocs Updates

LoopDocs has a brand new look and feel, with updated search functionality.  Most questions that Loopers have can be answered with a simple (and new and improved) LoopDocs search.
